Yesterday the team and I had the privilege of shooting a few head shots for Jesse Eisenbarth, who is a young and talented musician in the San Diego area. Our lighting was very simple for this set up. We used two strobes about 4 feet from the background to get that well overexposed lighting. We position Jesse about 2 feet forward from the back strobes. [ Read More and View the Pics]
SWAP-FEST @ Point Loma LIVING ROOM COFFEEHOUSEShout out to the Living Room Coffeehouse in Point Loma for allowing me to perform at the Swap-Fest. I had a great time performing, and yes my face is painted like a puppy. Thanks Eliana Buenrostro for all the awesome face paintings. The bands were great. I meet some new friends and plan on going back to play more music there soon. A “fan” was even inspired by my song Believer. She created live artwork during my song and shared it with me after my performance. Also check out this quick snipit of some of my new material coming out this summer!-Jesse Who I write my songs about...
When I first started writing, not songs.. But poetry. I had found an art, that I could form words into meaning. The meaning behind the way I feel about everything. Gradually over the last 3 years, after I had learned an instrument and started practicing forming melodies, started my journey. I put something out there for someone to see, I got a response, and I made it better. It felt good to give people emotion as they listened or read my words. I would sing to my girlfriends, then that changed to her and her bestfriend, then to someone to record it for them, and finally to all of you. I would have never expected anything near this many people supporting me in something that started out as a few sentences in a word document. I have never been happier to be somewhere in my life where I feel like I've made a difference in the world. And I feel like this is the beginning. I don't know if any of you know this, but my birthday was just a month ago. I just turned 21 and the world of being a kid has ended for me. I'm officially a legal adult. It amazes me that in only the last 3 years of my adolescense, I figure out my mission while I'm here on this earth. But its a good feeling. I haven't really written anything personal to a fan before, so I hope you don't take me writing, you. Whom ever reads this as me being too good for anyone or as if I'm showing off. But as simply a blog of what I'm feeling at this very moment. I'm starting to surround myself with friends that play music as well. People that have helped my music become much better in SO many ways. You all are fantastic and I feel blessed to be in your company. Especially Ian Douglas and Travis Carver: Ian plays lead guitar in my band and Travis is my manager. I just want to say thank you. Both of you have given your time to help my journey bloom. Secondly, and most importantly, everyone who calls themself one of my fans. You are who I write about and who I write for. Its not just about writing to "make that one cute girl like me", its all for you guys. I hope when you hear my album that you guys feel like you were apart of it. You guys hold me up when I find my lows. I hope to make it to your home town someday soon and share some songs with you. It would be my pleasure. Keep pushin' at me and I'll be there. That's a promise! Please download my EP if you have not gotten it. It's free with your email and its in my store! LOVES!
